A rare original 1920s 30s art deco large rug textile carpet from the Netherlands. The Dutch version of art deco is called 'Amsterdam school' and this area rug is in the same style as by famous Dutch designers Jaap Gidding, Anton Hamaker etc.The hand woven wool rug has a beautiful floral and geometric abstract pattern in different shades of brown and accents of red on a beige background. In very good vintage condition, it has a few small wear areas and one lighter spot in the center see close up pictures. Rug purchased at a collectors fair in the Netherlands.Measurements:wide : 78"length :: 107 1/2"
