One of about 25 rugs known to be made by the rug industry started by Marion Volk (1859-1921) in Lovell, Maine. They made their own dyes and produced many types of textiles at this Maine location. The production of the hooked rugs were short lived though and most of their production are now to be found, most likely, in museums or special collects.
