Spectacular Antique Chinese Art Deco Rug C.1920 Rare Design With Birds 11’6X9’1
Origin: Chinese Size: 11’6 x 9’1 Circa: 1920 This brilliant antique art deco Chinese rug is in wonderful condition with no structural issues. There are some minor repairs and refurbishments throughout though the rug is overall in great condition. The design features many unique elements not often found in other such rugs of this age and origin. There are beautifully decorated birds adorning each corner of the rug. Either end has depictions of potted flowers sitting atop tables as well as treasure chests or gift boxes. There are several gorgeous flowers and depictions of potted plants along the main border of the rug. The hue is a muted berry tone, all dyes are natural and this piece was made with soft hand spun wool.
