Rya Rug VTG 1960s Scandinavian/Danish Shag Rug, MCM Blue Abstract 54in x 76in
A much loved and admired rug that I unfortunately have to part with. We call it many things, Sully, Miles Davis, and Big Blue. We have owned this rug for the last 5 years. It has lived its life in our reading room with very little foot traffic, no pets, and no smoke. It’s in great shape for its age. It has discoloration on the bottom as usual with Rya rugs and is getting a little sparse in some area around the corners. You wouldn’t notice it unless pointed out. Rya tends to lose a lot of fiber when vacuumed often, so I suggest taking steps to care for it as we have. Again, this rug should have NO odor, aside from possible Le Labo Santal which we scent our house with. It’s a beautiful rug which adds an enormous amount of depth and pop to any room. I will ship this rug next day, folded up in a box. I will try to wrap it in some sort of plastic in the off chance the box gets rained on.
