Gorgeous C1960 Hand Tied Sculpted Chinese Blue & White Peking Style Wool Rug
For sale is a lovely plush hand tied wool Peking style Chinese area rug The rug with an ivory ground having a nice thick pile in a blue and white overal coloration with multicolor floral designs. The central medallion also with a center flower surround by four flowering motifs. The outer ivory band with a similar repeating floral and vine pattern. The inner blur ground band having a repeating circle form pattern bordering the inner ivory ground field. The rug is estate fresh. Meaning, purchased directly from an estate floor. Condition: No pile losses noted. No obtruse discolorations noted. No musty smells but the carpet is old and should be cleaned. There are four (4) areas of stains/marks that we have noted in our pictures. These all look like normal surface stains which should clean out just fine. This is a true vintage rug and while our description is accurate as well as our pictures, you should understand that it is not a newly manufactured item.
