This specific piece is an "Aghstafa" Caucaisan named after a town near 'Kazak' that has produced museum quality Caucasians having been featured in many works of literature related to antique carpets. This reputation has made the name very popular and desirable among collectors. There is extensive wear throughout reflecting the pieces age and history as well as one small very old repair. All sides are original. This piece was made using hand-spun wool and naturally sourced vegetable dyes.
