Antique Turkoman Ersari Hand Woven dated Prayer Rug W/ Inscriptions 43x56" 1932
This listing is for a Antique Turkoman Ersari Hand Woven dated Pictorial Prayer Rug W/ Inscriptions measuring about 42 1/2 inches by 56 inches overall . It Weighs about 6.5 lbs. net. Great color palette , great design. Very delightful piece. The only Ersari Pictorial Prayer Rug I have ran across in my years. Both ends secured as shown. Not washed while in my possession but it is overall clean. In excellent vintage as shown condition. Wool pile , warp and weft . Dated 1351 , which would be A.H. date and would convert to 1932 . Inscribed as shown but I have not been able to make out the writing. There is some kind of reinforcement done in a couple of places on back ( purplish lavender pink visible in a couple of closeup images of back ) which I am not sure what it was done for although this is visible only on the back and not front . Best of the best. It will be shipped folded . Awesome piece. I usually post many more images on my listing than the 12 listed on eBay gallery which only will be visible to individuals on classic eBay site ( that would be when item is viewed on a computer) . Images are continuous and have an order ( front , back, sides, etc.. ) and should be viewed in continuous fashion.
