Estate Find Antique Persian Prayer Rug 1880-1910 We offer an antique Persian Kerman rug featuring an ascending foliated vase within an elongated colonnaded prayer niche.A rich indigo blue ground within the niche emphasizes the symmetrical sprays of flowers which wrap internally and externally among the red columns supporting the ivory walls of the niche. A richly foliated border in red frames the prayer niche. The rug is antique dating from the last quarter of the nineteenth century to the first quarter of the twentieth century. The rug measures 54" in width and 89" in length.The rug has been professionally cleaned and is in very good antique condition with minor restoration to wear on fringe and edge binding.
