Antique Hand-knotted Oriental Wool On Cotton Warp Runner Rug, 11’10” X 2’
This gorgeous hand-knotted rug came from a home in Colorado that the family lived in for over 100 years. It is hand knitted wool on a cotton warp with the traditional fringe at the ends, with a beautiful medallion pattern with many floral accents on a blue background. The colors are still bright and bold and the rug itself is in excellent condition, with very little wear and no stains or holes that I could find. The only damage I found was in a short area on the back - it looks as if the rolled rug was left out and a cat had scratched the back. This bit of damage is not visible from the front at all. It measures 11’ 10” long, and 2.5” wide. The pile is thick and soft, and this rug would be stunning in anyone’s home.
