Antique 1900-1930's Turkish Tribal Rug 4'5 × 7'6"
This beautiful Turkish Tribal rug makes it's way from Cappadocia. This lovely beauty features a large center medallion atop a crimson and indigo field surrounded by detailed tribal patterns and motifs. This is a true example of the hand made qualities that are highly sought after in these rugs. If you note the medallion, one of the sides differ slightly then the other, this is a true telling that these are truly one-of-a-kind hand made pieces. This would be a great rug for many décor styles and would surely evoke conversation about it. This rug features an extremely dense, tightly woven wool pile that is great for high traffic areas. Natural dyes and colors include: crimson, indigo, ivory, yellow, gold, and more. This hand made rug is made of non-shedding hand spun wool making it easy to clean, and making it incredibly soft to walk and lounge on. This densely woven wool rug contains natural oils called lanolin that naturally resist dirt and grime, therefore allowing it to look cleaner for much longer than synthetic rugs. Regular vacuuming will remove any dirt and grime, and allow you to enjoy your rug for many decades.
