This piece had been hanging on the living room wall for 50 years according to the estate. Extremely fine weave of about / approx 700 KPSI. The foundation is silk and the pile is wool. Rug is about 110 years old. Hand woven in the finest rug capital of the world. Renown for its quality. Shows even wear with some fringe loss as seen and expected with age. The main thing to look for is that the complete body of the rug is all there. This rug is very flexible and about as good as it gets. Early 1900's Isph---- rugs are extremely hard to find and post WW 11 Isfahan rugs are very easy to find. Big difference in quality and price. 15-20 different colors. Natural dyes.
