Hand-knotted, Feraghan 4'x6' Wool/Silk Rug, minor dmg, no walk on, or smoking
I purchased this rug when I served in Iraq in 2004 during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. I got it a booth at LSA Anaconda, Balad Airbase, Iraq. I originally paid $3,000. I hung it on my wall when I returned from overseas, then stored it in my closet when I moved. The rug has never been walked on and has only been in a smoke free household. There is some damage, which is pictured, to the tassels and two corners. Loose tassels are included if repair is desired. Estimated repair cost from is $150-250. Rug is in the Fereghan style as depicted on the original (handmade) label. Label indicates rug is wool and silk. Uneven edge binding (see picture) indicates rug is hand-knotted.
